Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Zebrzydowice
Attractions
The church probably dates back to the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. In 1305, Zebrzydowice was mentioned in the "Liber fundationis episcopatus Vratislaviensis" (the book of endowments of the Bishop of Wrocław). In 1616, the reconstruction of the wooden temple into a brick structure began. In 1751, a fire occurred, resulting in the church burning down. A new brick church was erected between 1774 and 1776, thanks to the generosity of the parishioners and the pastor, Father Andrzej Piguła.
